Most of us are aware that exercise helps us loose weight. Exercise and diet both speed up what is called as, the resting metabolic rate. It is the rate at which your body burns calories just by being alive. So, better rates increase the overall amount of calories that you burn. And, they make sure that you don't regain, lost weight. Here we present a list of a few health drinks which help boost metabolism and provide energy:
1.Warm lemon and honey water:
A very common, early morning drink helps you to get rid of toxins.
To prepare, take 1 glass of warm water+ ½ or ¼ lemon juice ( or, depending on how sour you can drink)+ 1 tablespoon of honey.
You may also consume each ingredient separately on alternate days. However, 2 glasses of water with one ingredient each, does more good. Only remember to skip honey on a few days.
2. Chia seeds:
These are small and black seeds of the plant Salvia Hispanica and can be consumed at any time of the day. Full of fibre and antioxidants, these seeds provide nutrients and energy without adding calories.
To prepare, soak 2 teaspoons of seeds in water for 30 minutes. Thereafter consume it with warm water. Once soaked, these tasteless seeds become flimsy and are easy to swallow.
3. Tisi seeds or common flax or linseeds:
There are different from chia seeds as they require grinding. Since tisi seeds may taste a little bitter, you may use 1 or 2 teaspoons in powdered form in:
The flour: when you make chapatis
Dal :while preparing it.
Plain warm water
4. Organic Green tea
Full of antioxidants, the best time to have green tea is after breakfast. For beginners 1 cup per day is sufficient. Others, already in the habit of drinking , may increase the volume to half a glass.
To prepare, boil water and put 1-2 teaspoons of green tea leaves after turning off the gas. Cover the container with lid and consume after 10 to 15 minutes. The more leaves you put the bitter it will taste so you may add lemon juice to balance it.
5. Cinnamon and cumin seeds drink OR Dalcheeni and Jeera Drink.
This drink is the most effective of all and definitely fastens the pace of weight loss. It is best consumed before bed.
To prepare, take more than a glass of water+ almost ½ a cup of roughly crushed cinnamon + 2 tea spoons of cumin seeds.
Let the water boil properly. Drink this beverage, at a temperature, where it is still hot but won't burn your tongue or throat.
If you drink warm milk before bed, you may drink this at least 10 to 20 minutes, before or after having milk
Even, boiled cumin water also helps.
So, having one or more of these drinks detoxicates your body, and ensure that you remain energetic throughout workouts (esp, Chia seeds). Alongside, a few life style changes, weight loss becomes a lot easier. Thus you must:
Check on empty calories and added sugar in your diet;
Limit tasty food to once in 3 days, or once in a week.
Consume less salt; because it reduces water retention in the body; and hence the bloating of belly skin. It is best for people who only have to tone their belly region.
Drinking water at least 20 minutes after meals, is a significant step.
Again, if you had a heavy meal at night make sure to drink hot water, or Drink no. 5 before you sleep.
Stay hydrated throughout the day.
As a last word of advice, always remember that metabolism shall only make the stubborn or stored fats, available to your body. To burn these extra calories is still your job. Although health drinks may assist you, but they are in no way a substitute to workouts.
