Fighting Covid-19 and Cyclone PM announces relief packages for West Bengal and Odisha

PM visited Amphan hit West Bengal and Odisha today. He announced ₹ 1000 crore assistance to West Bengal after an aerial survey of the destruction caused by cyclone this Wednesday. ₹ 2 lakh to people who lost their lives from PM relief fund and ₹ 50,000 to the injured .Bengal's commendable efforts under the leadership of Mamta Banerjee were praised by him.Cyclone Amphan has left around eighty people dead in West Bengal. Leaving thousands homeless , clobbering several parts of the state and immersing low lying areas.

" Entire country stands with Bengal in this difficult times " assured PM.

After Bengal, he visited the neighbouring state Odisha.The centre announced ₹500 crore for Odisha.Cyclone caused serious damage to power and telecom infrastructure in coastal districts of Odisha.

"The government will further help Odisha Government and make rest of the arrangements to come out of this crisis after the complete survey and formation of a rehabilitation plan" said PM.
